hometown heroes scholarship:

The Hometown Heroes Scholarship was established in 2022 under the partnership of Impact Youth Outreach and multi-platinum recording artist Jelly Roll. The purpose of these scholarships is to benefit MNPS seniors in need of financial aid to assist in the obtainment of their post-secondary goals.
Applications open: Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 8am CST
Awards: Ten (10) scholarships valued at $5,000 each
Eligibility
Criteria & Application Deadline
Awardees will be selected based on proof of a post-secondary plan, financial need, and their response to one of the approved essay prompts. These scholarships will not be based on scholastic achievements or GPAs.
Applicants must submit a completed application via the online form to Impact Youth Outreach no later than 11:59 pm CST on January 31, 2023. A completed application form must have a digitally signed and accepted submission form (page 1) by a parent or guardian along with their contact information and a typed 1-3 page essay (double spaced, 12 pt. font, Times New Roman) answering one of the approved prompts (listed below).
The Scholarship Selection Committee shall make the selection of each scholarship recipient. The scholarship disbursement shall be made directly to the educational institution, programs, or vendors on behalf of the scholarship recipients. The scholarship must be utilized within one year of the date of the award.
